accounting company regarding flawed tax advice.
• Represented commercial lessors in an arbitration
of a dispute regarding a rent reset.
• Represented Evergreen International Airlines and
its subsidiaries in various state and federal cases regarding
fraud and contract disputes.
• Member of a team of HBD attorneys representing Maguire
Properties in a breach of contract dispute related to the
purchase of certain parcels of undeveloped land in Los Angeles.
This dispute was favorably settled on confidential terms.
• Member of team representing Maguire Properties against
certain breach of lease claims. This dispute was favorably
settled on confidential terms.
Prior to joining HBD, Ms. Pilch worked for the New York
City Law Department, Office of Corporation Counsel, specializing
in commercial litigation on behalf of the City of New York.
As an Assistant Corporation Counsel, Ms. Pilch successfully
obtained a jury verdict as co-counsel in an $8.5 million
school construction trial in state court.
