Breach of Fiduciary Duty
A fiduciary is one who accepts a reposing of trust and confidence and thereby exercises power over the affairs of another. HBD specializes in fiduciary disputes. We have prosecuted and defended breach of fiduciary disputes across the country. We have tried cases and litigated appeals that have established some of the basic principles of modern fiduciary duty law. From our experience, we understand that a fiduciary duty can be created and its scope result from the unique facts associated with a party’s placing another in control of financial affairs, through a sharing of business secrets or technology, by means of an agreement to pursue jointly a business opportunity, and in many other ways. HBD has handled such cases and many other fiduciary disputes.
