Ms. Chock specializes in complex litigation including securities disputes, malpractice and other complex commercial disputes.

Ms. Chock’s recent efforts have included the successful opposition to CIBC World Market’s appellate challenge to a $52 million trial verdict in a securities fraud case brought by HBD on behalf of its investor clients Oaktree, TCW, and Pacholder. HBD also succeeded in a cross-appeal for those clients to obtain several million dollars of prejudgment interest. The appellate decision is published at OCM Principal Opportunities Fund, L.P. v. CIBC World Markets Corp., 157 Cal. App. 4th 835 (2007).

Since 2005, Ms. Chock has been a member of the team of HBD attorneys representing a number of U.S. institutional investors in litigation against Bank of America in connection with the insurance companies’ purchases of Parmalat-related debt securities. Prior to that, Ms. Chock worked with the HBD team representing a number of large U.S. institutional investors in litigation against Wall Street banks in connection with their purchase of Enron and Enron-related securities.

Prior to joining HBD in 2003, Ms. Chock was an associate at Latham & Watkins.
