Mr. Ross specializes in complex commercial litigation. His practice focuses on contract disputes and securities matters. Mr. Ross has successfully represented a large retailer in a complex arbitration involving proceedings in California, Indiana, South Carolina and New York. Mr. Ross also represented the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in civil matters pertaining to clergy misconduct. Since 2007, Mr. Ross has been a member of the team of HBD attorneys representing several large U.S. financial institutions in connection with litigation related to the bankruptcy of WestPoint Stevens, Inc.

Prior to joining HBD, Mr. Ross was an associate at Bartko Zankel Tarrant & Miller in San Francisco.

  • Co-Author of “Punitive Damages: Reaction by Federal and State Courts to Developing U.S. Supreme Court Guidelines” by John J. Bartko, John S. Lottier & David M. Ross. This article was subsequently cited in Cerqueira v. American Airlines, Inc., 484 F. Supp. 2d 232, 239-240 (D. Mass. 2007, Young, J.) (discussing punitive damage standards; rev'd on other grounds).
